Ike Onwuzurike

About His Life

  • Ikechukwu was the first born child of his parents. He was born January 26 1996. He was fondly called Ike (E-Kay). Right from when he was a child he was special. He displayed kindness, gentleness and took such great care of his sibling as he played the role of Mom and dad and his both parents worked our side the home. He would check their home work and made sure it was done properly. Every Friday he would spend an hour with each of his siblings individually and they chose what fun thing they would like to do and he would do it even if he did not particularly enjoy doing that..

  • He attended St. Regis Elementary School and Brother Rice High an all boys High School. He has an affiliation to books. He so much enjoyed reading that it was a common thing to hear him laughing and giggling alone in his room as he reads his favorite books. His love for books helped him excel academically He won many academic awards and led his High School to many academic national competition. Ike tutored his peers and lower classmen and also tutored Detroit city children

  • Ike played soccer and ran track, he was a sprinter. He laid the foundation for sprinting that his two younger brothers followed in his footsteps. He played the Clarinet which his fellow musicians said sounded much better they have ever heard.

    He was a mass servant for all his grade and High School both at St. Regis and Brother Rice HS where he was also a Eucharist Minister. He lead his fellow students to a deeper relationship with Christ as a Kairos Retreat leader

  • By the time Ike finished Middle school his love for God has become very obvious. He would spend about an hour in the morning and at night in devotion reading his bible and praying to God. His love for God spilled over into his love for others. His fellow students wrote in there letter to him that he was the most Christ-like person they know, some used the pious to describe him.
